I have been exploring spirituality for years and I have found seven simple ways to spark a spiritual awakening. Don’t worry, they are easy to understand and perfect for beginners. You do not need to carve out a lot of extra time to do them either. Just try incorporating these steps into your daily routine and see what happens. How to Become Spiritually Awakened
1. Meditate for 15 minutes a day to clear your mind and make space for new insights.
To begin your spiritual awakening, try meditating for fifteen minutes daily. This will clear your mind and allow for new insights. It is best to meditate in the morning before your day gets busy. If you are new to meditation, start with five minutes and gradually increase the duration. You can use a free meditation app or simply set a timer on your phone.
To meditate, sit in silence, and focus on your breathing while allowing distracting thoughts to dissipate. Regular meditation not only helps to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, but this practice deepens your connection with yourself and helps you become more spiritually aware.
If you are an active person and don’t like sitting down for too long, try Taichi, Yoga, or walking meditation instead. These activities help you to stay present and have similar benefits to meditation.
2. Get rid of any distractions and take regular breaks from technology.
If you’re looking to embark on a spiritual awakening, freeing yourself from distractions is a crucial step. Constant stimulation from your phone, computer, or television can hijack your attention and prevent you from engaging with your inner self.
By taking frequent breaks from technology, you will have a clearer mind and create more room to tune into your spirit. This doesn’t mean you have to throw away your devices or sell them away. Just use them more purposefully and turn off any notifications or sounds so that you are not constantly interrupted.

3. Take time to observe your thoughts and emotions without judgment.
Another way to awaken spiritually is to observe your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Be aware of where you are in the present moment and be open to what you are feeling without judging yourself or comparing yourself to others. This will help cultivate a sense of peace and harmony with your inner self, allowing you to be more mindful of the divine within.
Mindfulness can be practiced anywhere, unlike meditation. For example, you can practice it while waiting in a queue for food or public transport. By observing your thoughts and emotions, you create a gap between your spiritual self and your ego, thus preventing you from reacting impulsively to situations.
4. Connect with yourself on a deeper level through journaling.
Journaling can be a great tool to help us connect with ourselves on a deeper level. Not only do they provide an outlet for our thoughts and emotions, but they can also lead to a spiritual awakening. By taking the time to reflect on our experiences, we begin to understand ourselves better and gain newfound clarity.
First, obtain a journal that you can take with you wherever you go. Whenever you have a spiritual insight or experience that you find profound, note it down so you can review it later. You can also use your phone for this purpose, but be careful not to get sidetracked! Writing with a pen on paper also feels more personal than typing on your phone.
5. Spend time in nature and appreciate its beauty.
If you want to have a spiritual awakening, consider spending time in nature. Instead of sticking with your exercise routine in the gym or going out shopping, try going somewhere surrounded by nature, such as a park. You will be able to escape the everyday noise and fully engage with the environment. You can enjoy nature by going on a hike in a mountainous area, taking a leisurely walk in your local park, or simply sitting on a bench and appreciating the natural surroundings.
The key is to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and smells of nature and divert your attention away from your thoughts. Experiencing the stillness and tranquility of nature can help you connect with your inner self, bringing a feeling of spiritual connection. This is how I was initially awakened spiritually.
6. Cultivate gratitude each day by reflecting on what you are grateful for.
One way to bring about a spiritual awakening is by practicing gratitude. Before beginning your daily activities, take some time in the morning to reflect on all that you are thankful for in life. You can record your reflections in a journal or say them out loud. A simple list of three things each day that you feel grateful for would be sufficient. This practice will help you focus on the many blessings in your life and foster feelings of joy, happiness, and connection with the divine.
When you feel grateful for what is present in your life, you naturally look at life through a different lens — a spiritual perspective. You will start to appreciate each moment as an opportunity for transformation or growth, rather than seeing them as problems. This, in turn, helps to reduce stress and anxiety.

7. Learn how others have gone through their spiritual awakening process.

The process of awakening can be isolating sometimes, so it is helpful to connect with others and know that you are not alone in your journey.
